Bi-Lingual Enrollment & Development Associate | Full-Time

Overview
Charis Academy is seeking a bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Enrollment & Development Associate to help grow student enrollment and strengthen our connection with the Latino community in Hazleton. This role is both relational and strategic, serving as a key ambassador of Charis Academy’s mission, vision, and values.
The ideal candidate is professional, self-motivated, and confident in communicating in public settings, while also being flexible and willing to support the daily life of the school. This person will play an important role in enrollment growth, development efforts, translation, and family engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Enrollment & Community Outreach

Promote Charis Academy within the Latino community in Hazleton

Build relationships with families, churches, and community partners

Represent the school at community events, information sessions, and enrollment meetings

Guide prospective families through the enrollment process

Clearly communicate the school’s mission, vision, and educational approach

Development Support
-
Assist with development and fundraising initiatives

Help communicate Charis Academy’s story and impact to Spanish-speaking audiences

Support outreach efforts, events, and community partnerships

Translation & Family Communication
-
Translate written communication for families (emails, letters, flyers, announcements)

Provide live translation at parent meetings, conferences, and school events

Serve as a liaison between Spanish-speaking families and school leadership

Ensure communication is clear, culturally aware, and welcoming

School & Instructional Support
-
Teach Spanish classes or assist with language instruction as needed

Support parent meetings, conferences, and family engagement efforts

Assist with additional school needs where bilingual skills are helpful

Qualifications

Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation

Professional, reliable, and able to represent the school well

Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to take direction

Organized, adaptable, and relational

Experience in education, nonprofit work, community outreach, or development is a plus
