The Katyln Tarud Memorial Scholarship Fund
Katlyn Tarud was killed in a tragic car accident at the age of 27 years old. Loved by many, Katie was known for her contagious smile and loving and joyful spirit. She was a mother to three children: Liam, Lyla, and her unborn child Randy who also perished in the accident. Liam and Lyla began attending Charis Academy after Katie's passing. They are being raised by their single dad and are fortunate to have loving grandparents in their life.

Since the founding of the school, Charis Academy has valued bringing the good news of Jesus Christ and the hope found in Him to the students and families we serve. In recent years, the school has been serving an increasing amount of children who, like Liam and Lyla, have lost a parent.​​

Contributions in Memory of Katie
The priority recipients of the Katlyn Tarud Memorial Scholarship Fund are students who have lost a parent and/or are being raised by grandparents. Scholarships are also awarded to low-income families as needed.​
Your donation makes the CA education affordable to students whose life situation would normally preclude them from a private-school education. Thank you for supporting children like Liam and Lyla.​
